Polenta Bites with Apple and Cheese.
The polenta is a traditional dish in the southern United States prepared with corn pellets. This recipe will show you how to prepare some delicious snacks bittersweet.
Ingredients
1 cup cornmeal (cornmeal) yellow
1 cup cold water
2 ¾ cups boiling water
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons grated onion
1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage or 1 teaspoon dried sage
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
1 unpeeled apple girl
Juice of 1 medium lemon (2-3 tablespoons)
1. Forra with foil square baking pan 8×8x2 inches, leaving 1 inch of additional aluminum paper on 2 opposite sides of pan;grease the foil. Mix the cornstarch and cold water in a saucepan 2 qt. Add boiling water and salt. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens;reduce heat to low. Stir in onion, sage and half a cup of the cheese. Bake uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally;remove from heat.
February. Pour cornmeal (polenta) in a baking fret. Cover and refrigerate for at least 12 hours, until firm.
Three. Preheat oven to 400 º F. Grease a shallow baking pan 15 ½ x10 ½ x1 inch. Remove the polenta bake fret, using the ends of foil to lift. Cut the polenta into 6 strips and these into 6 equal parts to take 36 pictures. Cut each square diagonally to make 2 triangles; placed in a shallow cake pan. Bake uncovered for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
April. Cut apple into thin slices. Cut slices into quarters.Pervades the pieces with lemon juice so they do not rust. Top each triangle with 1 piece of apple. Sprinkle apple slices on the remaining half cup of cheese. Bake for about 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve slightly warm.
